Increase content width on desktop

I believe we spoke about this a bit before, but while the content looks great on mobile, it looks odd on desktop, where there's a large blank column on the left and right of the content (with the exception of the publication info in the top left column). How can the layout be changed to expand the content to fill more of the space on desktop?

@jenhutton @seun.akinfolarin to be clear we are talking about the center of this screenshot, the paragraphs "President Bola Tinubu…" and "Tinubu, who spoke Thursday, …" should extend more to the left (limited by the date and label without moving that) and to the right:
