A visitor can visit the on-site page for the author of an article by following the link in the byline (literally the "By" line), different and separate from optional Source link at bottom

The "BY" line at the top is different from the "SOURCE: " line at the bottom. The byline should have a link to the Author content reference.

As there can be more than one author, it may make sense to output the Author with the In Other Words module— or that module can be rejected as over-engineered foolishness.
