User roles
Discuss and create user roles.
I propose moving away from the our previous user roles that where largely based on giving permissions to content types based on internal department, and instead set up some easier to understand roles and then focus on things like field permissions and "Read only" field displays to help make the system easier to use for content managers.
I was thinking something like this.
Administrator
The admin user is the super user, could also be called "Developer"
Site manager
The site manager would be able to manage most things about a site. Similar to the concept of "Site Builder" in the Drupal would, with some additional permissions, like managing users.
Editor
The Editor has rights Create/Read/Update/Delete permissions for all content, plus scheduling and publishing, but not necessarily site configuration.
Author
Authors are basic content creators. They can Create/Read/Update all content, but can not publish outside the workflow, manage revisions, etc.
Contributor
Contributors are authors with very limited permissions, and are only able to add "Post" content.
Guest
This is just Drupal's "anonymous user" renamed.
