    - Sounds are now played via aplay instead of mplayer · 5387da20

    - Flickering status messages of aplay and amixer are now properly suppressed
- In settings file, proper sound file names have to be stated (bing.wav) instead of only bing
- A flickering status message at clock start has been removed
- In case of error when playing bing or gong sounds, the bell character is used instaed as a last resort
