Update Community Advocate Onboarding
In the section under FOR COMMUNITY ADVOCATES ONLY
: https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/general-onboarding/
- Add to TweetDeck, enable "Confirmation Step" for all GitLab accounts to prevent accidental tweeting
- View Support Handbook since many tools/processes overlap (?) https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/support/
- Read through and familiarize yourself with the Community Advocacy page
- Create an account on Stack Overflow if you don't already have one. Start by answering a few simple questions in an area you're familiar with (a language, web framework, development platform, API, etc.), or in the GitLab tag if you feel comfortable. The goal is to get enough "Reputation" and have access to a few more features.
- Create an account on the forums, connected to your GitLab.com account.
- [FOR HIRING MANAGER] Give the forum account Moderator status.
- Create a Disqus account, connect it to your
@gitlab.com
Google account. - [FOR HIRING MANAGER] Give the user the ability to moderate Disqus comments on the blog.
- Create a Hacker News account if you don't have one already, make sure to specify in your user bio that you're a Community Advocate at GitLab, Hacker News requires that we be transparent about any conflicts of interest.
