Adjust skip trial copy in trial sign up flow for SaaS users who are logged in
Problem
The new SaaS trial sign up flow contains a "skip trial (continue with free account)" option which is important for net new sign ups coming from about.gitlab.com. However, this option is still present for SaaS users who select a trial CTA when they are logged into their existing free GitLab.com account.
When looking at CTA clicks on the trial form, roughly 50% of the clicks are on the "skip trial" cta. When looking at referring URL it appears that roughly 40% of those "skip trial" cta clicks are coming from users who are already logged into their account (highlighted in the report below.
Solution
If a user selects an in-app trial CTA, we should adjust the copy so it's more relevant to existing users and remove the word "free" from the actual cta as that will always drive up clicks.
