Add sentry to catch statement in Author Select Dropdown

  Question There's no catch here? Shouldn't we display an error to the user? Let's add a catch statement here please

  Extra points if you use our sentry logging functions in the catch statement like in https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/blob/master/app/assets/javascripts/monitoring/stores/actions.js#L99

  The latter bit is not a blocker by the way
