Basic Global Search documentation

We seem to be missing basic global search documentation: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/search/#advanced-global-search-starter, on our search page. We note Advanced Global Search, but nearly nothing about the core feature itself about searching across the instance.

Where is this documented? Should this be documented here?
