Some invites are failing and giving 'Something went wrong' generic error
Summary
'Something went wrong' error is displayed intermittently within the invite modal
Steps to reproduce
- Open the invite modal (in this case, I triggered it from Learn GitLab)
- Type in the email address of the user you are looking to invite (in this case, I was attempting to invite
pcordero+newuserdoesntexist09292023@gitlab.com
andpcordero@gitlab.com
) - Click 'Invite'
Example Project
- This bug was reproduced using this username
team09292023trial
- Project Name:
09292023
- Project ID:
50828818
What is the current bug behavior?
Upon clicking 'Invite' a 'Something went wrong' error was displayed
Note:
- The invitation was sent as I got the invitation email
- And the user displayed in on the Project Members page
What is the expected correct behavior?
No error should appear if the invite went through successfully. If there is actually an error, a more helpful error message should display so a user understands what happened
