App does not sync anymore after wrong time entry
We have Kimai 2 and the offline tracking app (Android) working for a few weeks now. First, everything was fine. Then, week by week, some users started to complain that the app does not sync their time entries any more.
The following steps are reproducible, at least with our server:
- Start creating a time entry
- do not use the start/stop button, but edit start and end time manually
- choose an end time BEFORE the start time (yesss, this makes no sense. But humans make mistakes...)
- save the entry -> app does not complain
- sync -> app does not complain, time entries are still listed as "saved" and do not show not up in Kimai 2
- Then, sync is broken irreversibly: you may continue recording your times, but none of them will be synced. No error messages.
There seems to be no way out of this situation using the app itself: you cannot edit or delete the wrong entry.
Workaround: Delete all app data using the Android app settings. Of course, you have to enter your credentials again and unsynchronized time entries get lost, so be sure to enter them manually in Kimai2.
