Release version 2.8.0 This release brings improved compatibility with newer software stacks, improvements for existing features and additional capabilities for administration and development. Version 2.8 is the final release for ARSnova 2. It is mainly intended to support organizations with existing installations that need more time before switching to ARSnova 3. Security and other important bug fixes will still be released if necessary but you should not expect any new features. For new installations, we highly recommend to use ARSnova 3. Features: * Java 11 support * User impersonation: A new API endpoint to impersonate users has been added for administration and debugging purposes (`POST /auth/impersonate?username=<username>`). Improvements: * LMS courses sessions: * Sessions linked to an LMS course are now listed for students with membership even if they have not yet joined the session. * Courses listed for session creation are now sorted by the start date (instead of the name). * Sessions can be unlinked from a course. * Course data is cached to improve performance and reduce queries to the LMS database. * Improved logging: Logging is now handled through Logback (replaces Log4j). Bug fixes: * The "question-based" learning progress is now correctly calculated after exporting and reimporting a session. * The "point-based" learning progress calculation no longer throws an exception if there are no answers to questions. * Data caches are now cleared in intervals as intended. Configuration changes: * If a `login-dialog-path` setting starts a `/` or is an absolute URL, it is no longer prefixed with the customization path. Requirements: * If the optional LMS connector is used, it needs to be updated to version 1.0.
