Classic runner manual submit outside Tripetto

Is there a way to manually trigger the submit on the trippetto classic runner? I need to be able to trigger the save and pull back all information like if the user clicked the submit button. There maybe a need to hide the trippetto submit button and use one of our own. I reviewed the docs and could not find any methods that could help resolve this issue.
