Make special URLs be picked up by the launcher

It is common in a few applications (e.g. steam) that they can pick up specific URLs to open the application. For example, a link like this: w3dhub://something would open the launcher when clicked on a user's machine.

Furthermore, if a link like that could also not just open the launcher but also join a specific game server (specified in the URL) would make it more than ideal.
