Editor: Prevent crash on smoothing undefined cell borders (#8299)

Closes #8299 (closed).

It's using the edge's current height so that if you're lucky, it shouldn't look too weird.

...I think.

A crash fix, therefore should go into 0.49.0 branch. It's a bit puzzling how most issues we're dealing with so far are not regressions at all.
