Removing superfluous apostrophe from SOW's.

Why is this change being made?

The plural form of the acronym SOW is correctly spelled "SOWs", whereas the possessive form of the acronym is "SOW's". The sentence is referring to the plural of SOW, hence the need to remove the apostrophe as it is superfluous. While the Handbook Style Guide does not prescribe the correct usage of apostrophes in acronyms, note the header and body section on URLs does follow the MLA convention. See MLA Style Center.
