Why is this change being made?

This change is being made to provide extended guidance to team members on how to flag an invention improvement with the Legal and Corporate Affairs team, in addition to how to appropriately discuss inventions and invention improvements at various stages of its lifecycle without bringing undue legal risk to GitLab or impacting potential patent protections.
