Propose paid mentorship as option for G&D benefit
Why is this change being made?
Paid mentorship programs are becoming more popular and provide access to mentors that may not be available via program offered by GitLab. With this MR, I propose that we add Mentorship
as an option for team members to expense using the G&D benefit.
I predict that these request would all fall in the over $300
category for application. As a rough estimate, I'd assume these expenses would cost between 2,000 and 4,000 USD per year, if a team member decided to meet with their mentor for a full 12 months.
- Mentor Cruise mentors seem to have an average range of 90 to 300 USD per month, or 1080 to 3,600 USD per year.
- Locelle costs 200 USD per month, or 2,400 per year
I've added the two above as suggesting in the MR. I've also asked in our DIB channel for other programs that folks have heard of and will contribute those as I hear of them.
