Removing the Synthetic Monitoring Category
The Monitor grouprespond has a large scope and recently decided to pursue the Continuous Verification category over the Synthetic Monitoring Category. As such, the Synthetic Monitoring Category will be removed.
Why?:
Synthetic monitoring looks at specific routes, whereas continuous verification is monitoring what happens after any change. With continuous verification we are targeting to extend our CI/CD lead which is a GitLab company-wide FY23 Product Investment theme. One of the main objectives for this investment theme is to “Enable safe, secure deployments to production by executing on our Deployment direction.”
