Now getting GDK up and running under WSL2 is a piece of cake (just follow the normal instructions for setting up GDK on the relevant Linux distribution) we can clean up the docs.

We could add a note to suggest heading over to https://gitter.im/gitlab/contributors if you're having trouble? Maybe even suggest pinging me?
