Record start time in update

• Call report_start to initialize the start time of the DurationTracker

How to set up and validate locally

Run gdk update and see reported durations without an error. lib/support/rake/duration_tracker.rb:44:in `` -': can't convert NilClass into an exact number (TypeError)
