Now that GitLab Pages support HTTPS redirects, remove the hack

Achilleas Pipinellis - OOO until November 25th (parental leave) requested to merge remove-https-redirect-hack into master

This was first introduced in !171 (merged) to force HTTPS on the docs site. We don't need this anymore, so remove it.
