revert: fix(Link): Add support to allow only safe urls

What does this MR do?

This MR reverts !1362 (merged) which is causing some specs failures in GitLab as can be seen in the upgrade MR: gitlab!32292 (merged)

The next step would be to reintroduce the changes along with an integration MR to make sure we can upgrade the package quickly next time they are released.
