What does this MR do and why?

  • This was previously added behind a default disabled feature flag out of an abundance of caution: !120049 (merged)
  • The feature flag has been enabled on staging and prod for 3 days without any issues so it is safe to remove the feature flag now: #410234 (comment 1390986358)
