Update user-facing bad plurals of 'emoji' in the application
What does this MR do?
This merge request is a follow-up to clean up user-facing instances of emojis
(instead of emoji
) in user-facing strings and their tests. It's related to two other MRs I created today last week:
-
Substitution rule: emoji does not take 's' in t... (!125778 - merged) to propose we change our guidance on the plural of
emoji
(AKA no moreemojis
) - Clean up bad plural of 'emoji' in docs (!125782 - merged) (for the docs)
@annabeldunstone raised the question as part of Draft: Added group settings for creating custom... (!124855 - closed). I'd noticed we had a potential problem earlier in the week when I saw @iamphill's
merge request about the new custom-emoji feature, but was trying to not stick my nose into EVERYthing. When it was discussed in #docs
and we learned our current guidance was wrong, I realized I should step up with some corrective merge requests.

These labels cause the MR to be added to code verification QA issues.

Ensure the appropriate labels are added to this MR. -
Ensure a release milestone is set. - If relevant to this MR, ensure content topic type principles are in use, including:
-
The headings should be something you'd do a Google search for. Instead of Default behavior
, say something likeDefault behavior when you close an issue
. -
The headings (other than the page title) should be active. Instead of Configuring GDK
, say something likeConfigure GDK
. -
Any task steps should be written as a numbered list. - If the content still needs to be edited for topic types, you can create a follow-up issue with the docs-technical-debt label.
