Rename local variable to avoid confusion from instance variable

What does this MR do and why?

Really more of a style thing, but in service_discovery.rb, the fact that we're using the token interval to refer to either the @interval instance variable accessed locally through attr_reader or a locally assigned variable named interval is confusing. This should be cleaned up.
