Avoid popular confusion over collective nouns like email

What does this MR do?

'E-mail' or Electronic Mail is a collective noun in the same manner 'mail' is a collective noun. It's not pluralized with an 's' but does earn plural pronouns depending on the varied contents and grouping -- 'my email is broken', 'my email are all spam'. Compare 'team'.

But it's not a popular construct because collective nouns follow rules that are difficult to predict in some areas.

Let's avoid the controversy so we don't attract confusion, don't need to participate in the controversy, and are ready if the tide of understanding sways us toward the proper format.
