Debian sign distribution service
What does this MR do?
A service to return a detached or inline signature of a text, signed from a distribution key.
Item 7.3 of &6057 (comment 582697034).
Context : there are 3 relevant endpoints:
-
Release
: plain (unsigned) -
Release.gpg
: detached signature -
InRelease
: inline signed
InRelease
is the most used endpoint, the two others are for very old clients. However, according to the specs, Still having a unsigned Release file and MD5Sum is currently highly recommended.
See also !66470 (merged), which adds the signed_file
column.
