Finish up pending spec for published experiments

What does this MR do and why?

This removes a pending spec, and polishes it up. There's a middleware that clears the RequestStore after the request has been made, and since this is done in a request spec, we have to stub that clear! method so we can make assertions about it. We then resolve our stub by clearing it manually.
